Clear and easy to see, the large liquid crystal display shows both the gas concentration and the measurement unit. As an option, the instrument can also be configured to display just the type of gas. The concentration is then displayed only when the set alarm levels have been exceeded. Language-free to avoid any misundarstanding, this continuous numeric display can also be back-lit to improve readability in darker environments.
In addition, labels in yellow (hydrogen sulfide) and blue (oxygen) are available to ensure that the instrument can be identified quickly even over a long distance.
WARNINGS AND ALARMS

SAFETY FIRST
Personnel safety is always the first priority. The sensor is positioned inside the housing such as to allow gas to reach it from above and drom the front. This position also minimizes the danger of a gas inlet being accidentally covered by clothing.
ALARM / WARNING FUNTION
Visual, vibrating and audible alarms are triggered when the two configurable alarm thresholds are exceeded or in the case of oxygen, when the levels fall below the set value. For optimum perception, a two-tone alarm is used. Furthermore, Drager Pac 7000 features an adjustable TWA (time - weighted avarage) alarm and STEL (short-term-exposure level) alarm. A warning is also given to indicate low battery levels or in the event of a device error.

The Point Gard 2 is a microprocessor based stand-alone gas detector for the continuous monitoring of toxic gases and Oxygen in ambient air. The Point Gard 2 is designed to be a stand-alone instrument that is easy to use . The instrument is housed in a arugged NEMA 4X plastic enclosure, has an easy-to-read LED display, plus audible and visual alarm indicators.
SIMPLE, QUICK INSTALLATION
The instrument is easily mounted on a wallor structure. After installing the sensor, and plugging the line cord into a 110 VAC outlet, PointGard 2 is ready for operation. Sensors are pre-caliberated before shipment, so caliberation is not necessary at start-up. The simple menu guided user interface is accessed through 3 buttons on the front panel of the instrument.
PROVEN DRAGER SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
The heart of the PointGrad 2 is the electrochemical DragerSensor the latest development in gas sensing technology. The DragerSensor is designed for acuuracy, stability, and long life. COMPLETE SYSTEM
The gas concentration is displayed on abright LED display. In an alarm condition the horn and the strobes are activated. The measuring ranges can be selected within a number of set points. The PointGard 2 has an industry standard 4 to 20 mA output so the current gas concentration can be transmitted to a central control system. The three on-board relays allow for the connection of additional alarm devices in aremote area. The alarm set points can be proggrammed to any value, and the relays can be programmed as latching/ non- , acknowledgeable/non- and rising/ falling.
